Source text - English What assessment methods do you think Vietnam should use in order to evaluate accurately teacher and student performance?
In Vietnam, students just have to go through final exams without being assigned homwork or other projects throughout their whole studying process. This is also due to the fact that teacher have to teach too many classes and don't have teaching assistants to help them grade assignments. As for teachers, they are only evaluated periodically every serveral months or every year. Throughour investigation at some univeristies in Vietnam, we observe that they don't have incentives for teachers to imporve their teaching skills, training quality and research capicity, since promotions and salary increases often depend on the amount of content delivered and seniority rather than porfessional achievements and reserach abilities.

Ở Việt Nam, trong suốt quá trình học, sinh viên chỉ cần thi cuối khóa mà không cần phải làm thêm các bài tập về nhà hay các bài tiểu luận. Điều này cũng là do giáo viên phải dạy quá nhiều lớp và không có trợ giảng để giúp họ chấm điểm các bài tập đó. Về phần mình, giáo viên lại chỉ đánh giá theo định kỳ. Qua khảo sát, chúng tôi nhận thấy tại một số trường đại học tại Việt Nam, chúng tôi thấy năng lực nghiên cứu, cụ thể là việc nâng ngành và tăng lương thường dựa trên thời lượng giảng dạy và thâm niên hơn là dựa vào những thành tựu về chuyên môn và khả năng nghiên cứu.
