I graduated from the ISTI (Belgium) in 2008 as a French, Spanish, Arabic and English translator. Then in 2012, I obtained my Master's degree in Arabic Philology from the University of Granada.
Native in both French and Spanish - having grown up in Belgium in a Spanish family - I developed very young a keen interest in languages and speak now eight in total: Spanish, French, English, Portuguese, Arabic, German, Italian, Dutch.
As part of my translation degree and the Erasmus program, I took one semester in Ireland where I studied the English language thoroughly and brought it up to academic level.
Given the success of my academic experience, I then decided to return to Dublin and work there for some months, furthering my knowledge of the culture and language.
As I chose Arabic as a working language, I moved to Egypt where I lived altogether for two years. I am therefore fluent also in Egyptian Arabic and have good knowledge of Modern Standard Arabic.
In July 2012, I completed my 6-month translation internship at the Abdel Aziz Saud Al-Babtain association in Cordoba, Spain. During the internship, I translated a book from Spanish into French, and traveled to Egypt to take some private Arabic lessons to perfect my technical language knowledge.
Since 2010, I have worked as a free-lance translator for direct clients and translated documents in the field of civil engineering, bioengineering, law, medical marketing, commerce and wine industry.
In August 2013, I moved to Berlin where I worked as a translator, customer service agent and student advisor for myToys.de GmbH and then for Language International.
During my whole student years, I worked student jobs which have helped me develop excellent time management skills, outstanding contact-establishing manners, and an eye for detail.
I am currently looking for translation companies willing to extend their freelancers database in order to pursue my dream of establishing myself as a full-time translator.
