I am a Hmong interpreter/translator out of California in the United States. I am a medical certified Interpreter from Reedley College in Fresno California. I’m also a Language Line service certified in the following field; Medical, Finance, Mortgage, real Estate, Life Insurance, Auto Insurance, Court, 911 calls. I interpret and translate on a daily basis and handle over thousand case events per year. As a Certified Interpreter, I am trained with and follow the Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility for Interpreters set forth by State of California Standard (CHIA). As part of my certified Interpreter status I am required to and thus maintain continuing education relating to interpreting. I am a native Hmong speaker and have an accent free command of both English and Hmong. I have spoken both languages for over 30 years. During my time off, I have done freelance interpreting and translation work with public relations/media agencies, law offices, appellate attorneys, insurance agencies, medical offices, public/government offices, casinos, labor unions, financial institutions and non-profit social services groups. I have contracts with over a dozen language agencies to provide translation and interpreting services. I have a BS in Communication Management and 32 units of graduate law courses. I have taken college level Hmong language courses, college level Hmong culture courses, and college level advance Hmong writing courses. I can furnish upon request my resume and references for recent translating and interpreting work. I would like to offer my services to your agency if you should ever need a Hmong interpreter or translator.
