My bilingual Italian-British background brought about my passion for languages and more specifically communication between different European communities. I often found myself in situations where my languages served the purpose of facilitating communication and consequently generating a sense of usefulness. This brought about a sense of usefulness and consequently a strong interest in pursuing a career in translation.

I recently graduated with a Master of Science in Translating and Conference Interpreting from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland.

My dissertation focused on an academic analysis of literary translation using Gideon Toury's Descriptive Translation Theory. The book in question is William Ospina's Colombian novel about the Spanish conquest of Latin America : Ursua.

I have established myself as a full-time freelance interpreter and translator working from French, Spanish and Italian in English in East Scotland and the North East of England.
