Translation - English A. The lactose operon is transcribed as policistronic messenger RNA (mRNA) from the promoter (P), and is translated into three proteins: β-galactosidase (Z), permease (Y) and acetylase (A). The lac I codes for the repressor protein.
B. As the repressor competes with the RNA polimerase in the operator locus, the lactose operon is not transcibed in the absence of an allolactose inducer.
C. Due to a change in the repressor conformation (which forms a complex with the inducer), this one does not recognize the operator. Therefore, lac operon is weakly transcribed.
D. In the presence of lactose as carbon source, Escherichia coli can grow in a poor media. The inducer as well as the PAC-AMPc are binded to the promoter.

Dopuszcza się do składowania następujące ilości odpadów ulegających biodegradacji, w stosunku do ilości tych odpadów wytwarzanych w województwie śląskim w roku 1995.
