I have a Master's degree (2014) from Helsinki University, Arabic language and Islamic studies as my major and Translation Sience, Interpretation, Finnish language for translators, General linguistics and Turkology as my minor subjects. My main goal has all the way been to develop strong and active skills in Modern Standard and spoken Arabic (instead of just doing research on Classical Arabic texts), and I have achieved that by spending longer study- and working periods in Egypt, also learning the local dialect there.

I studied one academic year long Community Interpreting course at TAKK (Tampereen aikuiskoulutuskeskus) in 2015-16 and passed the professional exams in 2016, thus acquiring the official certificate on Community interpreting.

Currently I mostly as a freelance community interpreter (fin-ar-fin) for Semantix Finland Ltd. and some other translating agencies, teach Arabic and ocassionally do written translation and proofreading.
