A native Russian speaker based in Moscow, Russia (GMT+3), Yevgeny is a self-employed linguist with more than 20 years' proven experience, including 15 years as an in-house translator at international audit and law firms.  In late September 2024, he validated his professional qualifications, earning a C2 (Proficient) grade on a 50-minute EF SET test.   

Holding a BA+ degree in English and French, Mr. Kozlov specialises in translation from/into English and from French in the legal, financial and general business fields. Attention to detail, ​​strong insight into his areas of specialism and extensive training, all enable him to unfailingly deliver translations that are utterly accurate, fully localised and well-calibrated in terms of readability.

Yevgeny's rate is project-based, i.e. set with reference to the subject area, volume, urgency and special requirements of a project.  Logically, specialist translations cost more than general ones.  

Mr. Kozlov's daily output varies, depending on the technicality of, and number of abbreviations, tables, non-textual elements, specialist language in, the source text and an end use of the target text (e.g. for understanding, internal discussion, publication) and stands at ca. 3,000 source words. 

To shorten his service-production turnaround time, Yevgeny uses CAT tools like Trados, Memsoure, DeepL, etc. His preferred one is Trados Studio 2021.
