| Translation - Latvian The world has seen significant socio-economic development and the advancement of medical technologies, which have resulted in extended life expectancy; however, dental professionals have not yet solved the problems of caries and periodontal disease. Age is still associated with the loss natural teeth and the need for dentures, which are unable to fully restore the eating functions. Therefore, gerontas tend to suffer from malnutrition and social problems, which reduce the quality of their lives. The aim of the study is to determine whether, and how, the replacement of removable dentures with implant-supported dentures can improve a patient’s dietary habits. |
