I am a qualified and experienced translator who specialises in the translation of legal documents. In particular within the areas of dispute resolution and property law. I also have experience of employment law, particularly contracts.
I have been working full-time as a freelance translator since completing my MA in Translation at Aston University in 2011. Even before this time however I worked in several roles which involved some translation work.
As well as my native UK, I have also lived in France and Spain. These experiences have not only helped me to perfect my skills in these languages but also to learn more about the culture of these countries, something which I find very useful in my work as a translator.
I take my work as a translator seriously both in terms of the quality that I deliver and in meeting my deadlines. In order to help me meet the professional standards that I strive to achieve, I have invested in both translation software (MemoQ) and legal resources.
I currently work mainly with agencies but also have one direct client; a major Spanish law firm. I have received a great deal of positive feedback on my work and I am able to supply references if required. |
