Bio
I am a native French speaker with 3 years experience as a freelance translator.

After my Baccalaureate (French Literature, Philosophy and languages, i.e. English, Spanish, Italian and Gallo, a Breton dialect), I went to study English and American Civilisations and Literature at Rennes University. After 3 years I decided to go and work in Oxford during the summer by myself and fell in love with the country, its culture and its language. So I decided to stay and have been living in England for over 17 years now.

Over this time, I gained a lot of experience in Market Research, first with NOP, and then with (AC) Nielsen.

So when I became a freelance translator, I was welcomed by agencies which specialize in Marketing and Market Research. Indeed, I have worked with Language Connect and Latin Link, mainly on the translation of surveys, on all kind of subjects (printing, automotive, health, business, travel, etc.). I never cut short on research to educate my translations and always triple-check any specialized language before committing to a translation. I do not hesitate to work on in the evenings if necessary to deliver my work on time.

I do also marketing work as a linguist for them: code frame creation and coding, as well as transcription with or without translation.

Furthermore, I have extended knowledge in ceramics (I have been practicing pottery for 6 years), music (I play guitar and ukulele) and horticulture (thanks to a 2 year course and some work experience).

I regularly go back to France and keep in touch with the latest slang thanks vastly to my nieces and nephews.
