Highly experienced in chemistry, cosmetics, regulatory affairs and languages,
I am a versatile professional with a unique combination of skills. I am qualified
both as a Chemical Technician (University Degree) and as a Spanish-English
Literary and Technical-Scientific Translator; I am Member of the Chartered
Institute of Linguists (MCIL) of the United Kingdom, which certifies my two professions.
Moreover, as part of my professional development, in 2017 I completed the Diploma
in Cosmetic Science by the Society of Cosmetic Scientists, also of the UK.

As a consequence, I am specialised in technical texts, particularly in the
chemistry field. Because I worked for important organisations as a laboratory technician
for almost ten years, I have deep knowledge and experience in chemical laboratories.
I have translated many international procedures, standards and methods in the field.

I worked for three years at a company of aftercare products in the UK, performing
both as a chemist and as a translator. My main roles were to ensure compliance of
the consumer products in the EU/UK and to manage the translations of all product-related
texts, such as safety data sheets, ingredient data sheets, labels and the technical
website.

I afterwards worked for a year and a half at a cosmetics company, where I
ensured compliance of cosmetics in the EU/UK. I compiled Cosmetic Product Safety
Reports (CPSR) and Product Information Files (PIF); I notified the products in the EU Notification Portal (CPNP); I communicated frequently with the authorities and trade
associations, and I dealt with all sorts of queries related to quality and regulatory
affairs.

Since I moved back to Argentina in 2018 I have continued
my specialisation in the fields. Now I not only carry out the same work that I did
while working in the UK (mainly compliance under CLP, REACH, Detergents Reg. 648/2004,
Cosmetics Reg. 1223/2009) but I also guide companies which plan to place their products
in the Latin American markets, ensuring compliance in each country.

As a translator, I work mainly in these fields: Chemistry, Labware, Cosmetics
and Fragrances, Detergents/Surfactants, Food Industry, Manufacturing, Chemical Engineering,
REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals), CLP
(Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Chemicals), GHS (Globally Harmonized
System), SDS (Safety Data Sheet), QMS (Quality Management System), QCS (Quality
Control System), EH&S (Environment, Health and Safety), Hydrology, Soil and
Water Analysis. 

Although I was not born in Brazil, I have a near-native level of Portuguese
because I have family in the south of that country and I have spoken Portuguese
since I was a child, keeping it alive.
