Source text - German Nach Abschluss eines Tierversuchs ist jeder verwendete und überlebende Affe, Halbaffe, Einhufer, Paarhufer, Hund, Hamster sowie jede verwendete und überlebende Katze und jedes verwendete und überlebende Kaninchen und Meerschweinchen unverzüglich einem Tierarzt zur Untersuchung vorzustellen. Kann das Tier nach dem Urteil des Tierarztes nur unter Schmerzen oder Leiden weiterleben, so muss es unverzüglich schmerzlos getötet werden. Andere als in Satz 1 bezeichnete Tiere sind gleichfalls unverzüglich schmerzlos zu töten, wenn dies nach dem Urteil der Person, die den Tierversuch durchgeführt hat, erforderlich ist.
