Bio
For more than 20 years, I have produced polished scientific and legal translations from Spanish to English for an array of private clients and translation agencies. Qualifications: BA (Spanish); MA (Technical Writing/English), fully qualified member of the British Institute of Translation & Interpreting (MITI), ATA certified (Spanish to English), ISO 1700:2015 Qualified.Green issues have always been part of my work. Marrying my love of language and science, I now specialize in conservation and sustainable development. One of my most rewarding translation projects to date has been translating proposals for the Convention on the International Trade of Endangered Species (CITES) on the vicuna, queen conch, and arboreal lizard. In my spare time, I'm a keen walker, nerdy vegetable gardener (especially chilies and tomatoes), and aspiring chef. I'm also a dual American/British citizen and fluent in both American and British English. CV available on request. Let's work together!
