I am an award-winning novelist and short story writer with a Bachelor's of Science in General Studies. That is to say, I've learned a little about a lot of different things, but my scholastic concentrations were English and Spanish linguistics and literature.
As a student at Prairie View A&M University, I was a scholar in the Toni Morrison Writing Program Master Class and studied under journalist and poet Kevin Powell as well as novelist and screen writer/producer Attica Locke. During my senior year at university , I successfully completed an Independent Study of Latin American Detective Fiction under the tutelage of a noted scholar and critic of Latin American literature. I am also a 2024 inductee in the Upsilon Lambda chapter of Sigma Tau Delta Engish Honor Society.
I offer literary translations with foci on long-form prose, essays, and literary analyses. As a recent graduate, I am also aware of and proficient in many facets of digital and professional writing including business/technical writing, writing for electronic media, research and methodology, and op-ed.
My aim is to provide contextual congruence in my translations so as to convey both the factual and figurative message of the source text. |
