Bio
I am a German native freelance translator who live near Bremen, Germany. My language pair is EN > DE and I am a well-versed technical translator. I studied supply engineering and work for one year as engineer which enhances my technical skills and understanding even more. This is one of the reason I started my career as translator in the technical and electrical field and up to now this is one of my main fields. I have translated a lot of technical descriptions, user manuals, instructions which reach from gas turbines, cranes, valves, automotive parts to electrical components, mainboards, TV, radio, mobile phones, toys etc. My other fields are the translation and proofreading (localization) of software applications and related documents and websites as well as medical texts which I translate since 7 years. Furthermore I have a lot of experience in the translation and proofreading of video and online casino games like Poker, domino, slot machines etc.

In the meanwhile I have over 11 years of experience in translation and proofreading (part time and full time). Since 2005 I am a fulltime freelancer.

Mainly I use Trados 2007 and Trados Studio 2011 as CAT tool, but I also work with Wordfast Pro, Passolo (free version), Star transit (free version), SDLX, Catalyst (free version) etc. depending on what is requested from the customer.
