I am a Belgian living and working in Oxford (United Kingdom). As a native Flemish speaker it is always nice to be able to help people with their translation work so that an optimal result can be obtained, without any loss of the meaning of a document due to a lack of cultural knowledge. Perhaps it is a classic but it would be rather disturbing to translate an expression like "it is raining cats and dogs" into a different language and actually translating both the animal species into the target language.
