Everyone taking part in the multiple myeloma study C16010 are asked to provide a blood and bone marrow sample for research biomarker testing. All patients are also asked to take part in this additional evaluation of genetic and/or genomic biomarkers of your disease. Biomarkers are biological or chemical “markers” that are present in the blood/tissues and may be related to your disease and its response to treatment with MLN9708. The samples collected will be used for searching, confirmation and validation of biomarkers which are related to your cancer or which may help doctors identify patients with the same cancer type as yours who have higher probability of response treatment with MLN9708 or development of side effects as a result of taking MLN9708. If you have any questions, ask the study doctor or study personnel to answer them.
A portion of blood and bone marrow samples collected from and donated by you will be used for genetic testing. Cells of your body contain a molecule called deoxyribonucleic acid, or DNA for short. Your genes consist of DNA. Genes are inherited and direct growth, development and functioning of the body. Genes explain some of the differences people have like in hair or eye color. Genes may also partly explain how people break down drugs and why some people, but not others, have side effects related to the study drug or certain diseases like cancer. There are lots of differences in the DNA from one person to another. Genes are special programs for production of proteins. In general words, genes (DNA) are construction materials for ribonucleic acid, or RNA for short, while RNA is a construction material for proteins.

2.2.3. Thermal insulation screens, including screens used together with CSDs are used to stabilize natural condition of the soils under heat-producing buildings and structures and to reduce the depths of seasonal freeze-thaw cycles.
