French to English: THE SHOPPER AGENCY General field: Marketing
Translation - English The experience acquired by x over the past 20 years in the field of Shopper Marketing today makes it the leading European specialist in the domain. Founded in 1986, its purpose is to offer a more strategic approach to communication thanks to the integration of two essential phases of marketing procedure: research and development. Since 1990, x has been uncovering the need for a more in-depth understanding of the behaviour of consumers in their role as buyers. The increasing proportion of purchasing decisions made at the point of sale today renders this need essential to the impact of marketing activities.
Important: I have recently decided to offer online languages coaching. This is available for English and French and is aimed at foreign learners of these languages. The services can be adjusted to meet your learning requirements (e.g. upcoming exam, job interview language advice or just practice in general).
Since I was a child, I have always had a passion for languages. As a toddler I used to look at words rather than pictures. Not much has changed since, you could say.
My main qualifications are a BA in single honours French from the University of Liverpool and a Postgraduate Diploma in Translating from the University of Salford.
My main language combination is French to English, and I have translated many different kinds of texts.
I have a large amount of experience in translating contracts, and have also worked on a large number of marketing-related projects and websites.
I am intensely interested in history and would relish any opportunity to work on history books.
Other interests include sport and literature.
One of the things that makes me stand out from other translators is my willingness to read through my texts properly, even for very large projects. I feel this is essential in order to avoid any silly errors.
Despite my care for my work, I am still able to work quickly when needed, and in translation I always strive to ensure that the message in the source text is faithfully conveyed in translation.
