Bio

I am an English < > Spanish translator from Córdoba, Argentina. I have been working as a freelancer since 2002 for national and international translation agencies and direct clients, including the World Bank and the United Nations. My field of expertise is terminology, mainly complex and new terms!
I am also an Interpreting Specialist and my 8-year-expertise in this field includes conference, consecutive and bidule interpreting.
The tasks I enjoy the most are translating, subtitling and reviewing written and audiovisual texts that pose terminological challenges and require lots of creativity on my part, and mediating as interpreter in intercultural situations.

I hold a PhD Degree in Languages and Interculturality and I lead a team of twelve researchers-in-training at the School of Languages, National University of Córdoba. We are currently working on intercultural tensiones arising from translations in various biopolitical fields.

I am a University Professor both at undergraduate and postgraduate course of studies. My courses are Translation Methods and Procedures, Terminology and Documentation and Consecutive Interpreting.
