Spanish to English: Planificación: reunión trimestral
Source text - Spanish At the beginning of each term, the technical director meets with the coaches to draw up activities which will coincide with the objectives of each group (Annex 2). It is not necessary to organize an activity for each objective because there are some objectives which are more personal and will not be easily achieved through activities e.g. integrity, emotional intelligence. Sometimes, one activity could cover various objectives. For instance, since the objectives of the lower groups are still preserved for the higher groups, the same activity could be organized for different age groups.
It is better that the planning be done quarterly and not annually. In this way, they will be able to change plans depending on the results achieved so far, plan activities which cover up for areas where deficiencies are noted (e.g. include concrete targets in which there should be improvements, remove activities that have not contributed anything etc. They could also take into consideration the suggestions of the participants themselves.
With regards to designing activities that could meet the objectives in question, it is necessary to avoid monotony and the repetition of activities with similar content. It is important that the participants accumulate a large variety of experiences. They should become more flexible and learn to look for new solutions in each activity. Thus, if for whatever reason, they have to repeat any activity, those in charge have to look for something that adds novelty, situations that will bring out new reactions, e.g. going for an excursion to the same place but taking different routes, filming the excursion or doing some new kind of sport; if the participants are working in groups, the members of each group should be changed each time the activity is beginning again; if they are meant to do a debate, the speaker and the manner of getting ones argument across should be changed often.

I work as a development officer in a technical training institute/ngo in Nigeria. As part of my training i lived for 3 years in Spain and did some courses in the University of Navarra, Spain. During this time I became quite proficient in Spanish. Since I came back I have done a number of spanish to English and English to Spanish translation jobs for companies and individuals. Unfortunately my laptop crashed and I have not yet been able to get any samples to post on this website. I am still working on it and as soon as i do I will upload them.
