PART I. GENERAL PROVISIONS
Section 1. - Corporate Name and Purpose
La Federación Española de Deportes para Ciegos (FEDC) is a sport statewide Federation aimed at fostering and promoting the integration of the blind and visually impaired in society through the sport. FEDC achieves this goal performing duties of administrative nature by governmental delegation, and contributing in this way as a civil agent for the Public Authority.
The different types of sports and disciplines covered by FEDC are the following: Chess, Athletics, Swimming, Futsal, Skiing, Judo, Goalball , Mountain Sport and Shooting.
FEDC is a legal entity with full capacity to act and achieve its goals under Ley del Deporte 10/1990 (Spanish Sports Act 10/1990) of October 15; Real Decreto de federaciones deportivas 1835/1991 (Royal Decree 1835/1991 of December 20, 1991, on Spanish Sports Federations and Registration of Sports Associations) as drafted in Real Decreto 253/96 (Spanish Royal Decree 253/96) of February 16, and Real Decreto 1252/99 (Spanish Royal Decree 1252/99) of July 16; Real Decreto 1591/1992 (Spanish Royal Decree 1591/1992) of December 23, on Sporting Discipline; Orden ECD/452/2004 (Ministerial Provision ECD/452/2004), and any other national provisions whatsoever and hereafter issued to rearrange or complete the aforementioned; and also under these Articles of Association and any other internal regulations duly issued by FEDC pursuant to its powers.
In accordance with the Spanish Constitution and the International Regulations, no discrimination on grounds of sex, social, political, religious, or ideological status will be allowed within FEDC, that in the same way will not accept any other inappropriate meddling that may arise within the sport scope.

TITULO 1.DISPOSICIONES GENERALES.
Artículo 1.- Denominación y objeto asociativo.
La Federación Española de Deportes para Ciegos (F.E.D.C.) es una federación
deportiva de ámbito estatal cuyo objeto es promover y gestionar el Deporte para
Ciegos y que ejerce por delegación funciones públicas de carácter administrativo,
actuando, en su caso, como agente colaborador de la Administración Pública.
Las modalidades y especialidades deportivas agrupadas en esta Federación son
las siguientes: ajedrez, atletismo, natación, fútbol-sala, esquí, judo, goalball,
montaña y tiro.
La Federación Española de Deportes para Ciegos tiene personalidad jurídica y
plena capacidad de obrar para el cumplimiento de sus fines y se rige por la Ley
del Deporte 10/1990, de 15 de octubre; por el Real Decreto de federaciones
deportivas 1835/1991, de 20 de diciembre, en redacción dada por el Real Decreto
253/96, de 16 de febrero y Real Decreto 1252/99, de 16 de julio; por el Real
Decreto 1591/1992, de 23 de diciembre, sobre disciplina deportiva; por la Orden
ECD/452/2004, de 12 de febrero, y las demás disposiciones estatales que
puedan dictarse en el futuro modificando o complementando las anteriores, por
los presentes Estatutos por los Reglamentos de la Federación y demás normas
de orden interno que dicte válidamente en el ejercicio de sus competencias.
De conformidad con la Constitución Española y las Normas Internacionales, la
Federación Española de Deportes para Ciegos no permitirá es su seno
discriminaciones por razones de sexo o posición social, política, religiosa o
ideológica. De igual forma no permitirá injerencia extraña de carácter deportivo en
el ámbito de su competencia.
