PROFILE

My name is Marisol Fletes and I am a technical translator, sworn translator (English-Spanish) and proofreader. I have a BA in Translation and Interpreting and a Master’s Degree in Institutional Translation, as well as several training courses in translation, terminology and computer-assisted translation tools. I also have a long professional career at the oil and gas industry, logistics and transport, which has provided me with a sound technical and linguistic background which allows me to offer linguistic services in those fields.

CAREER

My career as a freelance translator started in 2007. Since then, I have worked in a wide range of topics and for very different clients, from individual clients to big companies such as Sephora Cosmetics, University of Lille or Rue du Commerce, as well as for translation and communication agencies.

WORKING METHOD

I am a perfectionist and I like to deliver quality work. Behind my translations there is a comprehensive process of documentation and review. I use linguistic resources (dictionaries, glossaries, databases) and tools (computer assisted translation, terminology management tools) to ensure quality results and homogeneity in the use of vocabulary. Moreover, my clients especially appreciate my ability to adapt to their needs and the strict compliance with the agreed deadlines.
