Source text - English She's done an incredible job weaving everything together across the season.
She's really successfully interrogated the characters on a very primal level
and asked who they really are and what their really deep desires are.
You know this is my first film and people know you a little bit more
and they form opinions of you.
It's just making sure that I can witness all that
but not take it on and let that affect my own views and opinions of myself.
Because I think there's been times when that line has got a little bit blurry
I think that's really dangerous.
Translation - Chinese
English to Chinese: Social General field: Art/Literary
Source text - English It was an era in which advertising began to expose the Chinese to all kinds of foreign products such as fancy cigarettes, drinking chocolate and coffee, all presented by glamorous ladies sporting fur coats, high heels, silk stockings and charming little handbags. Women from the higher social classes were the prime beneficiaries of this kind of revolution. Their former servants, who had previously dogged their every move so as to be permanently on hand to purvey any requisite item… Very much like the handbag we know today, it could enclose not just indispensable objects, but also intimate items which impertinent servants could no longer disclose to others…. Thus, in Shanghai, the little Parisian handbag of the 1930s was subject to countless variations on a theme, whilst becoming emblematic of the cosmopolitan woman.
