ProZ.com powwow: Christmas party!December 6, 2012, 7:00 pm United KingdomEdinburghIn personEnglish This year we've decided to do something a little different for our Christmas night out - I've booked the skittle alley at the Sheep Heid Inn (http://www.sheepheid.co.uk/index.html) from 7 pm on Thursday 6th December until closing time. The bar has asked me to confirm food orders a week or so before, so I'm setting a deadline of Thursday 29th November for signing up and sending me your food choice (see below). UPDATE 16th OCTOBER 2012 There's been a great response to this with lots of people signing up already, so I've now confirmed the booking and paid the £50 alley hire fee. The final cost for this per person will obviously depend on how many people come along, so I'll get you all to pay me back on the night once we know final numbers. Dinner will be a simple "basket supper" for £5.95 per person (this is slightly higher than I said previously - their prices have gone up and they hadn't updated the website, hmph!). But it's still a bargain. The bar is going to send me the list of options and I'll put them on here soon. Food (and drinks) will be paid for individually on the night, but I'll be taking your food orders a week or so before so that I can let the pub know. Please note that an absolute maximum of 40 can attend - I've been warned by the pub that once you get over 30 people in there it becomes a bit of a squish! Please SIGN UP NOW to guarantee a place.
