MyMemory plugin with Studio 2014? Thread poster: d2e
|
As far as I can see, there is no MyMemory plugin for Studio 2014. Is there anything in the pipeline?
Hi, Copy MyMemory.PlugIn.sdlplugin from the AppData folder local\SDL Trados Studio\10\Plugins\Packages to the 11 folder and you're done - restart Studio 2014. HTH, Bernard
Probably a good idea to contact the developer... | Oct 1, 2013 |

Thanks a lot Bernard! That seems to have done the trick. Updating is a real chore, as nothing is imported from the previous version and I can't remember how I set everything up when I installed Studio 2011. I'm still struggling with some fairly basic things in the new interface too. For example, I can't find how to open a Word file without creating a project, which is something I do a lot for quick jobs.

Hi, Use File -> Open -> Translate Single Document. Cheers, Bernard

Can projects from SDL Studio 2011 be transferred to/imported/loaded into SDL 2014? And if so how?

I had actually used the same trick when 2011 was released, just copied the 2009 plug-in into the 2011 folder. Cheers, Bernard
Thanks Bernard! Great work around. MM is so useful. Bernard Lieber wrote: Hi, Copy MyMemory.PlugIn.sdlplugin from the AppData folder local\SDL Trados Studio\10\Plugins\Packages to the 11 folder and you're done - restart Studio 2014. HTH, Bernard
A quick how-to on installing apps on Studio 2014? | Oct 23, 2013 |
Hi, I'm new to anything SDL Trados. Could anyone tell me how to install an app on Studio 2014? I've downloaded this app titled SDL Legit from SDL Open Exchange, but I don't know how to install it. This thread was the closest I could find on my dilemma so I won't have to create a new thread. Thanks, Laurens

Thanks, Laurens To install it, first close Studio, then double click the .exe file. When the installation is complete, open Studio 2014, go to the Welcome view and you should see the app in list on the left.

The file isn't recognized as an .exe file... | Oct 23, 2013 |

I double-clicked it (with Studio not running), but was then prompted by a dialog box asking me if I wanted to open this file. The file icon is blank (white). Its properties have this to say: Type of file: File Description: SDL If it's working for other users, I figure there must be something amiss on my part.
Open as zip file | Oct 23, 2013 |
You can change the extension of the file downloaded from OpenExchange to .zip or just open the file with ZIP application like WinRar.
