I was checking the net for references on \"caída de planta\" in Spanish and I found it\'s sometimes used meaning \"power failure\". It coud be another possibility. Hope it helps.

Machinery Breakdown

A more normal term in Spain would be 'Avería de Maquinaria', but I think this means the same thing.
