Discussion

Ashok Pipal (asker) Dec 29, 2019:
Thanks Chema and Marie. There isn't much in the text to value add to the context. But yes, considering a few spelling mistakes in the text, I am assuming PS to be Ps and as such Marie's suggestion fits in. Thanks to all.
Chema Nieto Castañón Dec 27, 2019:
@Marie Your final rendering is actually much more natural and coherent than my own, Marie.
It is just that the original is so strange and unspecific without some minimum context. Also PS vs Ps or Ms vs MM (miembros superiores: MMSS) are very weird here if you try to read it as MMSS e II. But I am not sure at all. I feel there is something missing yet that would allow for a better understanding of what the original tries to convey.

Where from? Yes, I agree with Patricio that we should have more context. But in particular, can you tell us what country the ST is from - may be helpful. Thanks.
Marie Wilson Dec 27, 2019:
After reading Chema's expert opinion I wonder if my answer was a bit premature. I can't resist an abbreviation but with little context it's hard to see the bigger picture.
Hi Ashok, could you provide some more context?
José Patrício Dec 25, 2019:
MsTs: Miembros torácicos: ombro, articulação escápula
Ashok Pipal (asker) Dec 25, 2019:
Correction: The text is MsTs y PS con hipotermia leve, buena movilidad y sensibilidad.
Guess MsTs is Miembros todos; no guess for PS....

movimientos torácicos y pulsos (distales) simétricos

I think some more context is basic.

MsTs y PS con hipotermia leve, buena movilidad y sensibilidad.

This is necessarily part of a general exam, where MsTs y PS could be many different things. MsTs is sometimes used as a reference to "músculotendinoso", as in a general exam. But then PS would not make sense. The same happens with the very weird use of MsTs as "miembros torácicos", where PS would not make sense ("miembros torácicos y pélvicos" does not make sense in the given context).

MsTs as movimientos torácicos could be an option, where the S in PS could mean simétricos. P could mean pulsos (distales), although the combination (movimientos torácicos y pulsos) is rather strange.

P could also mean pulsioximetría, but the S then would not make sense.

The S must mean something that characterizes both MsTs and P in this context.

I cannot think of any other sound option without some more context.

Chest expansion is symmetrical. Symmetric peripheral pulses.
