Deza, If I understand correctly, you say that the ship is an oil-tanker and, consequently, this "brida" is (or should be translated as) "manifold". I fail to see why the latter follows from the former. Is this information from your client?. Admittedly, I am not a specialist in this field, so I might wery well be missing something.

Brida Thank you all for your help. Normally it is a ship's flange, but in this case I neglected to clarify that the vessel is an oil tanker. Consequently the brida is a manifold for discharging hydrocarbons to a port's reception facility. My text deals with an insurance claim and the value of the product is based on it's price when it was discharged through the tanker's manifold. Thanks again!

I have a diccionario Marítimo and brida is flange - ship flange but I cannot see what the price of the product and the flange have to do with each other. But maybe somebody can figure it out. Good luck!
