Spanish to English Social Sciences History

Again: I am having a very frustrating time trying to translate some quotations from 19th Mexican Spanish, concerning the Yaqui Rebellion. The professor admits that she didn't transcribe the handwritten originals accurately, so I'm dealing not just with out-of-date language and handwriting issues, but with her mistakes, too. I'd appreciate any ideas about what this terms means, and I'm going to post some others.

El origen del levantamiento de las yaquis es la concilictar del Prefecto de Guaymas que protégé a alugnos indios rebeldes corua ser jefe. Los resultados se sienten ya: su hacienda de la Noria fue sagirada y destruida por una de esa gavilla de Yaquis. Cree que el Gob. Gral. debe fijar su atención seriamente y librar parade una de Sonora de esos indios.
