This text is part of a book on a conference held by Ibero-American universities on to establish their role, purpose and future plans. I can't quite make out what they mean here by "lo común". Any thoughts?
Thanks!

diversity
I would leave out "de lo común" - it means from the commonplace - and say something like "create networks expressing [or perhaps even celebrating] the richness of diversity."

community diversity
The community or general population, ie those who have access to higher education, ostensibly anyone, so "community diversity", or "diversity of the populace" are good options.
