I think they may be referring to point 1. in the RAE description:
saetín1.
(De saeta).
1. m. Clavo delgado y sin cabeza que se usa en varios oficios.
2. m. En los molinos, canal angosto por donde se precipita el agua desde la presa a la rued.....
