Does anyone know the definitive US English translation for this legal term? I know that it means "minor petitioner/complainant/plaintiff". However, I don't find many examples of any of these on the Web.
It would be great if anyone could let me know if there is a SerbianEnglish legal glossary explaining some of these terms on the Web. I don't usually do legal translations, so I don't have a lot of resources.
Thank you!
Eric

Comment: "Thanks, I actually used "minor petioner" since this seems to be used more often in the context of custody disputes (which was information I didn't give you). "

minor female plaintiff
I think there is no special explanation. You could find this on the Web.
The 14-year-old minor female plaintiff was a passenger in the back seat of the defendant’s car. While making a left turn, the defendant turned too quickly, the vehicle rolled on its side and skidded before hitting a telephone pole. The defendant, who was cited for a motor vehicle violation, conceded liability shortly before trial.

Note from asker:
Thanks for your answer and time. I didn't use "female" since the gender of the petitioner was clear from the rest of the document. |
