Немного устарело и немного слэнговое (UK)
Yomp is Royal Marines slang describing a long distance march carrying full kit. Since becoming a well-known phrase it has fallen into disuse.

The most famous yomp of recent times was during the Falklands War. After disembarking from ships at San Carlos on the East Falkland, on May 21st, Royal Marines and members of the Parachute Regiment yomped with their equipment across the islands.
British army slang for yomp is to \'tab\'.
