On the main point, the English verbal phrases "is in error" or "is an erroneous practice" are a more comfortable way of expressing what Russian handles with the prepositional phrase "об ошибочности".

Google's a digital search engine, not an English-speaker. A majority of these these instances mean not "об ошибочности чего-то", but "о заблуждении по имени X" или "о (конкретном) изъяне". But, this is a discussion of your entry, not mine.
