Don't forget, a group of people travelling together can 'pool' their baggage to take advantage of any free checked in baggage allowances. If you do this, you will all need to be at the airport at the same time with your baggage.

Pooled baggage allowance
"pooled" is far clearer than "pool" because the latter appears to refer to a swimming pool; "pooled" specifically means "brought together"
