as defendants (in this case, please see explanation)

"Polo" refers to one side of the lawsuit > "Polo passivo" is the defendant, and "Polo ativo" is the plaintiff. Definitely not the center. My suggestion would be to confirm whether the judge is ordering that they enter as defendants or plaintiffs, and use that term. In this case, it's 99% certain that he is ordering the 'lifting of the corporate veil' and wants them to stand as defendants.
