I have a question relating to a personal project rather than a job.
In a Bond Issue Agreement, I'm using "collateral" for 担保.
So am I right in thinking that 担保権 would be "collateral warranty" or is there a better term in the field?
Any help appreciated.
Thank you,
Nick

To grant a security interest
Depending on the context, other verbs will be used in place of "grant," e.g., "to take a security interest."
Definition of security interest:
A legal claim on collateral that has been pledged, usually to obtain a loan. The borrower provides the lender with a security interest on certain securities/assets which can be repossessed in the event that timely obligation payments are not met.
