Hi again! I hope someone can help with the following term I am not sure about.
It's from an ophthalmology assessment of patient that suffered trauma to the eye.
The term is: Bulbo (oculare) tonico.
Is it correct to say Toned eyeball? It does not really sound right to me!
Would normal eye pressure be better in this case?
Thanks in advance!

I think, tonico refers to the tonometry test being normal and in IMHO, we can omit eyeball as intraocular already describes the eyeball.
Intraocular pressure (IOP) is the fluid pressure inside the eye. Tonometry is the method eye care professionals use to determine this. IOP is an important aspect in the evaluation of patients at risk of glaucoma.[1] Most tonometers are calibrated to measure pressure in millimeters of mercury (mmHg).

Pressure in the human eye, known as intraocular pressure, varies throughout the day with "normal" pressure being anywhere between 10 and 21 mmHg.

Tonometry is a quick and simple test that checks the pressure inside your eyes. The results can help your doctor see if you’re at risk for glaucoma.

I believe this is what they mean, although there might be a more specific term.

: Occhio tonico is healthy but "firm" seems to be an abnormal finding. From a description of acute angle-closure glaucoma: "Due to the high pressure, the affected eye will feel firm, compared to the unaffected eye, when felt through the lids."
