The vertebral arteries are major arteries of the neck. Typically, the vertebral arteries originate from the subclavian arteries. Each vessel courses superiorly along each side of the neck, merging within the skull to form the single, midline basilar artery. As the supplying component of the vertebrobasilar vascular system, the vertebral arteries provide supply blood to the upper spinal cord, brainstem, cerebellum, and posterior part of brain

Italian term (edited):
V0 sinistra
origin of the left vertebral artery
The vertebral artery is typically divided into 4 segments:
V1 (preforaminal): origin to transverse foramen of C6
V2 (foraminal): from the transverse foramen of C6 to the transverse foramen of C2
V3 (atlantic, extradural or extraspinal): from C2 to the dura
V4 (intradural or intracranial): from the dura to their confluence to form the basilar artery

...Atherosclerotic disease at the origin of the vertebral arteries (V0 segment) is frequent and is one of the risk factors for vertebrobasilar ischemic disease...

: Hi Gilberto. If this were my question, I would need help with the "se non a livello" part of this, more than the V0 part. The translation of "se non" is not clear to me. Saludos :)
