From the CV of an author on a dentistry paper:

Discussion

achisholm (asker) Jun 21, 2007:
Its not a refereed publication Its a trade publication (mostly adverts etc.) which also has a couple of articles on selected techniques (in this case comnposite inlays).
So at the end of each article, there is a very short biography of the auithor.

Professor

According to Hoepli: professore titolare = regular professor.

Garzanti also adds full professor or principal.

I looked up the guy's CV at CLOPD, but it did not shed any light. I would play it safe here and use Professor. (Professor of teaching seems redundant - although I admit there may very well be a good equivalent that I am not giving here.)
