Italian term

bp

Italian to English Medical Medical: Cardiology
From the echocardiography sections of two discharge reports from the same hospital. I just can't think what it's an abbreviation for but I'm presuming it is the same in each different context (which may be a mistake!). It's probably something so obvious I'll feel a complete idiot for asking, but any help or suggestions would be welcome!

Thanks

This might be it.

"2D echo parameters, such as LV end-diastolic and LV end-systolic diameter, LV end-diastolic (LVEDV), LV end-systolic volume (LVESV), left atrium volume and tricuspid annulus peak systolic excursion, E and A wave velocity together with biplane ejection fraction by Simpson’s method were retrieved."

Note from asker:
Thanks - I believe you are right. I have come across biplane EF before (and from the same hospital) before but had forgotten all about it!
