Chef's speciality soup, chef's choice, soup "chef's indulgence", Chef's soup of the day"

In South Africa the term "soup of the day" is used to name the soup the chef has chosen to cook up as the day's speciality soup.
Note from asker:
soup "chef's indulgence" mi sembra molto carino, anche perchè hanno cercato qualcosa di più ricercato del solito "zuppa del giorno". E' molto usato?
Peer comment(s):

agree Kimberly Wastler : US usage too.

Women chefs' 'Capriccio' soup

If you confirm that it is women chef your menu refers to, I think that the combination capriccio+chef (donne) is not accidental here and ought to be preserved in EN.
In fact I would also keep 'Capriccio', to hint on the imaginative ability of the chefs in concocting what is supposed to be a very 'lively gastronomic composition'.
Not very imaginative, but there you go.
Peer comment(s):

agree Rachel Fell : good point, though not sure that the gender would be stated on the menu (people might already know the chefs are women) but at least they're plural; I'm inclined to go for just "Special" though" Capriccio" might be OK too.

Ta, Rachel. Agree with your gender-wise comment. We don't know what kind of menu the dish is included in (a chefs' competition, perhaps?, for which this info would make sense). Nothing wrong with 'special', but 'capriccio' has a bit more ... pizzazz! Bee

I imagine you meant "... dellO chef".

Nel qual caso andrebbe detto "the chefs' whim soup" allora. :)

O meglio ancora come ha detto Babsita.
Note from asker:
No è scritto proprio così, forse sono tutte ragazze in cucina! (ma può trattarsi benissimo di un refuso)

"Whim of the day" soup

This is just another option. You could always propose Our lady chefs' "Whim of the day" soup if you have to convey the idea of female chefs, but it seems a bit long-winded to me.

"Caprice de chef" soup / Soup "chef-d'œvre of the Chef"

since it's culinary, "Gallification" should be permissible and highly regarded

A proposito, perché "delle"? Un errore di protocollo o "le chef" sono le donne?
