: For general use, I would suggest "domestic water connection". In this sentence, it could be worded as "Almost all local residents (97%) are now served by domestic water supply" ... IMHO

Di Selandia Baru air minum berasal dari dua sumber utama, yaitu air hujan (rainwater) dan dari kotapraja (town supply). Jadi kalau x memiliki sambungan rumah kami akan mengatakan “x’s house is connected to the town supply”.
