successfully addressed the target group
I'd want to rephrase the whole sentence to accommodate this part of it. The requirements for successfully addressing the target group?
Note from asker:
What would you think of "addressing its target audience appropriately"? |
or "successfully targeting its intended audience"? |

succesfully reached its target audience
that's the meaning anyway, you'll have to fiddle with the wording to get it to fit into your sentence

: Both appeal and target audience (instead of group, which sounds a little bit like focus group) sound great to me.

successfully tailored to the target audience
Lots of suggestions so far, but most of them telling a slightly different-than-asked story.
The client's point is ausgerichtet, which means made to fit, made to appeal. It does not mean reached or addressed, which would be Ansprache or Erreichen der Zielgruppe.
Tailored is the term we would use in any marketing strategy document, if we want to express the design of a specific piece and not its direction of aim. Their usage of terms like Umsetzung and Kreativität clearly make it a design statement.
Also, target audience is a nice play on words, with the audience in a theater in mind, vs. the other common term target group.
