German term

Vergaserentlüftung

German to English Tech/Engineering Mechanics / Mech Engineering machinery for the construction industry
This is from the description of a rammer for a US website:
"Zuverlässige *Vergaserentlüftung* und Starten im Leerlauf mit Auto-Choke." All I have been able to come up with is: "Reliable carburetor ventilation and start in idle mode with auto choke." Am I on the right track?

Discussion

Sanni Kruger (X) (asker) Jun 17, 2012:
Thank you all for your help. After some further research I got the answer from the manufacturer's own material. It's a "vented carburetor". Apparently they have a patent pending for this.
Teresa Reinhardt Jun 17, 2012:
sieht so aus als ob es nicht um Teile, sondern um Eigenschaften geht; evtl. carburetor venting ABER besser im Englischen: Verbalstil ... nur braucht man natürlich mehr Kontext, um was Sinnvolles vorzuschlagen
David Bullock Jun 16, 2012:
In which case you are correct in your translation, with the exception of the word "mode". I have personally never come across "mode" in this context. That does not mean it is incorrect, just a personal feeling.
Sanni Kruger (X) (asker) Jun 16, 2012:
These are definetely not instructions to the operator, but part of the description of the device. There is not much else by way of context.

vent the carburetor

I am not sure how this "Zuverlässige" fits in, there is little context to really decide. I asume that the rammer is some hand held device it which case I think this is just part of a series of instructions. I think you should leave the "mode" out, and keep the sentence simple.
Example sentence:

Vent the carburetor and start in idle with the auto choke.
