high-temperature mechanical engineering

Doesn't really get any ghits, but neither does your German term. They're obviously talking about building furnaces and things, right?

Or you could send an e-mail to this guy (unless he's your client) - he lists your term on his German bio, but on the English page the last sentence is missing. Obviously has the same problem as you ;-)

this sounds like a good bet, thanks to all!
Peer comment(s):

agree Bernhard Sulzer : as close as you can get to the German; in your link, referred to as "jet engines and turbomachinery as excellent examples of high-technology engineering" ...and the last sentence is not missing but quite "umgemodelt." :)

German term (edited): heiße Maschinenbau

Jet Engine Engineering

Peer comment(s):

agree Bernhard Sulzer : the only link (..heißen Maschinenbaus) points in that direction; see also: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strahltriebwerk

Wikipedia).
