German to English Tech/Engineering Materials (Plastics, Ceramics, etc.)

I have found "service room" in the glossary and elsewhere but am not happy with it, in this context, which is the expansion of a small glass-manufacturing company.
"Fünf Jahre ständigen Wachstums fordern wieder neue, größere Betriebsräume". I think "workshops" is meant here and I wonder if this is possible. Maybe the writer has not chosen the best word in German.
