German term
Werk
Non-PRO
German to English
Law/Patents
Law (general)
Divorce Decree
I got a real problem with this word in the following context.
Above the caption of the divorce degree it says from left to right:
Ausfertigung [Siegel] Verkündet am xxxxxxxx
Werk
Justizobersekretärin
Would it make sense to translate it with decreed by, just work, or what would you suggest.

Werk
Isn't this the name of the person who signed the document, i.e. it remains untranslated?
Note from asker:
But the name of the Justizobersekretär is not Werk? |
Otherwise it is a great idea |

Stephen Old
: Yes, it must be the name of the senior clerk to the courts as it comes directly over the word Justizobersekretaerin
