Systematik

Staff Bonuses
"Ob der Bonustopf nach der Systematik dieser Betriebsvereinbarung zur Auszahlung kommt, hängt ab [sic] von der Erreichung einer definierten Messgröße."
The above is from a Betriebsvereinbarung about staff appraisals and bonuses.
I have checked the Kudoz glossary for Systematik and there are a couple of entries there, but I'm still uncertain what to do with the above.

procedural framework
... you could also use "system" ... but that's not as precise

: valid option - "Systematik" is used in a "flowchart" sense here...

scheme, arrangement
as in 'according to the scheme...' or (less grandiose) 'as described in...'
Jonathan's 'according to the logic of' might also work if it fits the circumstances.
I have the impression that 'System' is starting to lose its lustre as a magic word in Germany, but for a while just about anything with a logical structure could be labeled 'System', and of course the abstraction 'Systematik' is even better.

Discussion
Btw, the original is formulated rather clumsily.
