Positive-Displacement Pump
The word appears in this sentence:
"Die Schaltung des Ventils erfolgt aufgrund eines externen Steuersignals, ausgelöst z.B. durch eine Überfüllsicherung eines der Pumpanlage nachgeschaltetem Ölabscheiders."
I'm pretty sure the "Sicherung" part of the word means "fuse" here, but not 100% so. Is it maybe "protection"? I just can't quite work it out, so need some help. This is about a positive-displacement pump.

in an oil separator located downstream of the pump(ing) system. It's more than likely a float switch, but I'd stick to the generic term unless I knew for sure.
